Your Role & Contribution:
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product landscape and the technological foundation of our company. You will work hands-on in a collaborative environment, contributing your skills to develop and maintain scalable, impactful software solutions. Your work will directly support organizations in understanding and reducing their climate impact.
1. Develop Future-Ready Solutions
- Help shape and implement the vision for right°'s software products, tools, and APIs.
- Design and develop innovative features to expand the potential of the XDC Model in customer applications.
2. Enhance & Maintain Our Tech Stack
- Contribute to improving existing solutions through refactoring, performance enhancements, and bug fixing.
- Take responsibility for both backend and frontend aspects of the stack, ensuring smooth integration and user experience.
3. Ensure Code Quality & Best Practices
- Own your code from development through deployment.
- Uphold coding standards, conduct reviews, write tests, and ensure documentation.
Cultural Fit:
- Work closely with colleagues in Product, Data Science, and Customer Success to deliver impactful software.
- Actively participate in team discussions and agile planning processes to improve collaboration and outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Technical Expertise
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend experience, ideally with Kotlin or Java.
- Familiar with DevOps tools: Git (GitLab), Docker, Kubernetes.
- Confident with relational databases (SQL/PostgreSQL).
- Comfortable working with frontend technologies like Vue.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
2. Mindset & Working Style
- Passionate about climate tech and software development.
- T-shaped skill set with broad knowledge and deep expertise in key areas.
- Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style in a fast-paced environment.
3. Communication & Teamwork
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus (or willingness to learn).
- Open, collaborative attitude and a desire to contribute to a diverse, values-driven team.
