Frankfurt am Main, March 29, 2023 – The Frankfurt-based ClimateTech right° is further expanding its management team with Manuel Bode as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Founded in 2016 by Hannah Helmke and Dr. Sebastian Müller, LL.M., right° develops metrics and software tools to make the climate impact of economic activities transparent – plain and simple in °C. Now, for the first time, the young company is filling the position of CCO to drive the commercialization of its product portfolio, which ranges from highly-automated one-off analyses to software licensing and customized solutions via data interface (API).
Hannah Helmke, founder and CEO of right°, comments,
“We took the necessary time in the early years of the company to develop a methodology that is both scientifically robust and commercially viable. Now the moment has come to scale our tools and solutions. Manuel Bode brings a valuable wealth of experience in digital business environments and sound technical understanding. Above all, he combines his expertise with a great passion for working constructively, openly, and purposefully with people, as well as a strong commitment to our corporate vision. As a result, he will play a key role in particular for our next development phase from start-up to established company.”
Bode has many years of management experience in business development, sales and marketing. A graduate in law and cultural management, he previously worked in the IT and telecommunications industries as well as in various FinTech companies. Most recently, he was responsible for the development of the tax platform business at Haufe Group.
For Bode, one of the attractions of the new position is the combination of a significant mission and global impact:
“At right°, I am fascinated by the interplay between authentic purpose and economic ambition. Here, two passionate founders with an outstandingly qualified and diverse team are pursuing a clear goal: to highlight the opportunities in the transition towards successful 1.5 °C-aligned business and to set the standard for assessing, managing and communicating climate impacts.”
Most recently, right° promoted Jacopo Pellegrino, PhD, from its own ranks to Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
